We're all about building cars,
it's our business.
Project SS
Here is our latest Resto-Mod.
A 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS.

Here we go!
A little tear down as the engine is removed.
The body off the frame.
The frame will get a little paint and some updated parts.
The frame gets a fresh coat of Chassis Black
While the body gets an initial coat of epoxy primer
The engine is back from the machine shop and gets a coat of Chevy Engine Orange
Now for some body work over the epoxy layer
And then the body gets four coats of urethane primer
A lot of block sanding goes into getting the body smooth
Followed by more primer
Sanding is hard work. To step back, how about adding some disk brakes?
The underside gets a coat of black
The body gets a little color and clear
Nothing is left unpainted
Some assembly required
Dito...a little dash assembly...a little package tray assembly
Headliners can be very time consuming to install.
The 327 back at home. I coupled this engine to a 700 R.
The front end sheet metal goes on                                                               Meanwhile, the new interior starts to come                                                                                                                                   together with new door panels and carpet
The back glass goes in. How does it fit with all the work we did around the opening? Perfect.
Now the SS is starting to look like a car. New chrome up front makes a real difference.
New 'old school 'Mags'' give this ride a mean look.
The rechromed console, restored dash, new seat covers, shoulder belts, and quarter trim bring this interior together.
A last look before this ride boards the trailer for the long ride home.
What a great project!!!!
